Cerakey Ceramic Keycaps
The world’s first ceramic keycaps with premium acoustics and unmatched aesthetics
Cerakey Ceramic Keycaps bring something truly different to the mechanical keyboard world. Crafted from alumina ceramic and designed for enthusiasts who want a unique typing experience, these keycaps combine premium materials, striking aesthetics, and a signature deep, thocky sound unlike traditional plastic keycaps.
Innovative Ceramic Construction
Unlike standard PBT or ABS keycaps, Cerakey keycaps use alumina ceramic for the keycap body, paired with ABS plastic stems for Cherry MX compatibility.
Benefits of ceramic construction include:
- Premium, smooth surface feel
- Heavier and more substantial keycaps
- Distinctive lower-pitched sound profile
- Excellent durability and wear resistance
The result is a typing experience that feels noticeably different from conventional keycaps.
Cherry Profile and Broad Compatibility
Cerakey keycaps use a standard Cherry profile and are compatible with:
- Cherry MX switches
- MX-style clone switches
This makes them suitable for a wide range of custom mechanical keyboards.
Set Options for Flexible Layouts
Available in two sets:
Set A (Alpha Plus)
- 56 alpha keys
- Core typing layout coverage
Set B (TK Set)
- 40 modifier keys
- Designed to complement Set A for a full TK layout
Combined, Set A and Set B provide the components needed for a complete keyboard layout.
Minimalist Design Options
Choose from multiple colours and configurations, including:
- Blank keycaps for a clean, minimal look
- Legend versions for traditional layouts
The blank white option offers a sleek aesthetic that pairs beautifully with a wide range of keyboard builds.
Enhanced RGB Light Transmission
Ceramic material offers impressive light transmission, allowing RGB lighting to shine through vibrantly while maintaining a premium solid feel.
It delivers visual impact without compromising typing performance.
Signature Thocky Sound Profile
One of the standout features of Cerakey keycaps is the sound.
Compared with traditional plastic keycaps, the ceramic material produces:
- Deeper, lower-pitched acoustics
- More muted and dampened keystrokes
- Distinctive thocky sound profile
For enthusiasts who enjoy sound-focused builds, this is where Cerakey stands apart.
Heavier Premium Feel
Cerakey keycaps are significantly heavier than standard plastic keycaps, adding to their unique typing character and premium feel.
This additional weight contributes to both acoustics and keypress feel.
Premium Enthusiast Product
As the first ceramic keycaps of their kind, Cerakey sits in a more premium category. They are designed for enthusiasts who value innovation, sound experimentation, and standout materials.
